PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES
At Barnwell Photography we specialize in photographing people, places, and products. This includes business and family portraits (in studio or on location), photography for artist and craftspeople, editorial assignment work for magazines, location photography of travel and tourism destinations, architectural interiors/exteriors of homes, hotels, businesses, and B&B's, product photography, and on-site factory and industrial images. Other services include copying and restoring old photographs, designing and printing promotional postcards, business cards, 4 x 9 rack cards and brochures, designing websites using Squarespace, and making exhibition prints for folks. In fact, we photograph almost everything except weddings. We also offer a series of photography workshops open to the public, as well as private instruction. Our studio has high ceilings, ground-level access with ramp, and easy, free parking along the street or in the large parking lot across the road. We have "standing sets" ready to use including ones for portraits, large products (such as furniture), a table-top set for smaller, three-dimensional items such as crafts and products, and a place to photograph flat art (paintings, weavings, etc) on the wall. Just pick a background from our wide selection of paper colors, canvas, stone, tiles, and handmade papers, and we're ready to go. This saves you time and money and makes for an efficient photo session.
A computer station allows for processing and reviewing images, and our large-format color printers enable us to make prints from passport size to 24-inches-wide. And of course we have a complete range of cameras, lighting, props, backgrounds, and tools. Amenities include Wi-Fi connection, a fridge full of beverages, our ever-popular candy bowl, and clean restroom. We also have all of our books and a selection of prints available for viewing and purchase. Studio hours are normally 9:30-5:30 weekdays (except over lunch), and we welcome visitors. However, we recommend you give us a call first to make sure we're not out on assignment or with a scheduled client in a photo session.
WORKSHOPS, PRIVATE INSTRUCTION & CONSULTING
We offer a variety of photography workshops including Making Better Images With Your Digital Camera, Basic Photo Image Management, and Creating Beautiful Photographs Through Composition and Lighting. We also offer private instruction (hourly rates) on a variety of topics including basic, intermediate, and advanced photography, computers and their use with photography, Photoshop, nature or portrait photography, darkroom and inkjet printing, and can also customize half-day, all-day, and weekend workshops for individuals, groups of friends, camera clubs, and the like. ART & CRAFT
We work for hundreds of artist and craftspeople throughout the country to produce stunning images of their work for use in portfolios, juried show applications, websites and publications. Our years of experience have taught us what magazine editors, jurors, and gallery directors expect in images from an artist. If your company needs professional imagery to show its products, people, and facilities at their best, we can help. We offer product photography in the studio, on-site photography at your location, staff and executive portraits, as well as meeting and special event coverage. We also work extensively for the travel and tourism industry producing images for websites, brochures and advertisements, and for the medical profession. PORTRAITS
We offer business and family portraits done in our studio and on location. Maybe you have a special place you'd like to have a portrait made of yourself, a son or daughter, you and a loved one, or even the whole family on that rare time you can all get together. Have a family reunion, anniversary, or special event planned? We do it all (except for weddings). We provide photographic services to anyone needing top quality images of building interiors and exteriors. If you are an architect, interior designer, furniture maker, real estate professional, gallery or shop owner, or magazine, and need photographs of a creation, space or display, we have the experience and expertise you can count on.
